Our Story: From Blog to Beautiful Interiors

What started as a simple blog called The Andis List — named after our daughter, Andi — has evolved into a full-fledged passion for custom design.

It all began back in 2015, when I asked my husband, Anthony, to build a clothing rack for my overflowing closet. I knew he was handy, but when he brought in this handcrafted rack with a blue-stained wood base and black iron bars, I was blown away. I told him we should sell it. He laughed and said, “Nobody would want to buy this.”

Fast forward to 2018 — we were reimagining the blog’s direction. We thought about selling fashion or accessories, but the rack idea came back to life. This time, we designed something more elegant: a white base, rose gold bars, and a bottom shelf. We styled it, posted it to Instagram, and within minutes, a well-known blogger placed an order for her clothing line. That moment launched our journey into custom design. 

Since then, we’ve rebranded as Gulfcoast Custom Interiors to reflect how far we’ve come and what we truly love doing today. As the retail landscape evolved, we also shifted away from focusing primarily on retail and leaned fully into our passion: creating custom cabinetry and furniture for homes and businesses.

Every piece we craft is proudly made in the USA, using locally sourced materials from American small businesses and built by hand with care and precision. We believe in quality over quantity, timeless design, and supporting American craftsmanship.
